Spiced dark rum is initially traditional white rum which, after leaving the alembic, is aged in new American oak barrels with the addition of sugar and spices. When the rum has acquired the desired flavors, it is then bottled. This spiced dark rum has an authentic taste and is about 40 percent alcohol.
A 100% artisanal distillery
The "Moulin du Loup" is one of the first distilleries to produce 100% BELGIAN rums and gins from fermentation to bottling. Indeed, Maximilien Hayet, founder of the distillery and distiller, uses an artisanal production method from the manufacturing to the labeling.
