Occhiolino is first and foremost a family history. Initially called Occhio, which means eye in Italian (which is the logo of the brand), the company's aim was to produce olive oil for the Duchesne family, who had acquired a plot of olive trees in Italy.
The idea of offering the public pure olive juice, without manipulation, was born in Guillaume Duchesne's mind and therefore, in 2019, he decided to found Occhiolino, meaning wink in Italian. One of Occhiolino's values is to be completely transparent about the production process to provide the best possible quality to its consumers.
Occhiolino did not stop at making olive oil, Guillaume started producing spirits, notably Limoncello. The family has lemon plantations in Puglia, Italy. The family grows Femminello del Gargano, an exceptional variety of lemon that has protected geographical indication status.
They then transport the lemons back to Liège in Belgium where they zest the lemons by hand in order to provide the most artisanal Limoncello possible.
